TMI Tuesday - Sex and Vacation
This week's questions are provided again by the thought provoking Virtual Sin.This is a blog I often enjoy musing over and I do enjoy his questions.
1. Do you have more sex or less when on vacation?
Once I would have answered yes immediately to this question but more recently the answer is more likely to be 'not really'. In the world before kids and when our children were really small and went to bed very early there was absolutely more sex on vacation. However we are now in the territory of having teenagers or almost teenagers who stay up later and have a much better idea of what is going on. Often vacation means closer living quarters, hotel rooms, cabins, tents or caravans that everyone has to live in for a week or so. It kinda makes things a bit awkward. Not impossible just requiring a bit more planning.
2. Do you plan a vacation so that you will have an opportunity to have sex?
Obviously not every vacation. Although it has been known to happen that certain road trips will involve some stops to 'view scenery' or such like.
3. Have you ever planned a vacation in order to meet someone for sex?
Actually no. However it is a dream of ours to visit a resort like Hedonism or Desire sometime in the future.
4. Have you ever gone on a single's cruise or some other hookup-facilitating vacation?
No to this one as well. But it will happen one day. See our answer to No 3.
5. Have you had sex on a means of transportation other than a car: bus, train airplane, cruise ship?
Cruise ship yes. We were fortunate enough to go on a cruise in 2012 (see post here) which did involve some adult time. In 2010 Jake and I travelled through Western Australia with our family. Naturally over the course of the three months that we travelled there was sex in a caravan. Albeit very quiet and restrained because of children sleeping nearby.
6. Have you had outdoor sex on camping, hiking, skiing, or boating vacation?
Definitely. Jake and I are connoisseurs of outdoor sex. We have had sex at the top of waterfalls, beside lakes, in lakes, on top of sand dunes etc. We also have a large collection of pictures that feature mostly me nude reclining in rainforests etc.
This one was taken a few years ago but it has always been one of my favourites;
Bonus: Do you pack sex toys, lubes (3.4 oz bottles or less), etc when you fly? Do you think about TSA finding them? Has TSA ever found them and questioned you about your sexual aides or displayed them? Tell us about it.
When I read this question it took me a few moments to work out what TSA meant. I had visions of children looking in mummy's suitcase for something and, in front of some person we had invited over bringing out certain objects to find out what they were. That would be awkward, funny and potentially a way to pick up.
However of course TSA means what Australians refer to as airport security. I don't fly that much but I have been known to pack a vibrator. I don't know what the procedure is in other countries but in Australia all luggage that is taken on board an aircraft is X-rayed. Hand luggage included. So of course the security people see it. I have never had my personal items displayed for everyone to see at the airport though. I used to work with a woman who had a second job as a Quarantine Inspector at an international airport. From the stories that she used to tell about the things they found in people's suitcases, a run of the mill vibrator, or even a giant sized one with pointy metal studs on it wouldn't have even raised an eyebrow.
